Welcome Hyunnies to the recruitment thread for the translating team. Thank you for your participation in the preliminary thread! We deeply appreciated the Hyunnies whom had voted and posted.
We are now officially recruiting people for the translating team. This team would mainly focus on translating news, articles & other written material into English for KHJIF. KHJ International Forums Subbing Team Recruitment

- Uploader uploads subbed videos onto servers for direct downloading, streaming/online, clubbox(?), etc.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Signature Checks
IS OVER. THE NEXT ONE IS IN AUGUST.
Throught this weekend and upcoming week, the staff will be going through the forum to check for any signature violation. If your signature is caught violating the signature rule it will be deleted and you will receive a warning message in place of it. We keep track of violators and if you violate the sig rules multiple times your signature will be completely disabled.
Signature sizes are restricted to allow everyone to have a pleasant browsing experience and it helps keep our forum from lagging. Please adjust your signature accordingly if you know that it has violated one of our rules.
As a refresher, here are the sig rules:

Lovely Hyunnies, this discussion thread is to see the amount of responses, and to know if there is a possibility of forming our own subbing team to sub videos for those who don't understand Korean or Japanese. Here are some basic information regarding a subbing team.
As you know, or maybe you don't, there are different positions in a subbing team. The positions and their duties are as followed:- Raw providers are people that provide the raw (no subs) videos to the subbing team
- Translators' job is to translate from the video content either from Korean to English or Japanese to English or Chinese to English, depending on which language the translator is more fluent in and can translate from.
- Timers are the one that times the dialogue according to when the person is speaking or captions are shown.
- Typesetting style (colour & font) and do the screen positioning of the subtitles (Soft subs - separate file from video; need to watch with raw video to see subtitle) This can be combined with Timer to form one position.
- Editor fixes grammar or other mistakes but must know a bit of timing
- Encoders are the people that put the subtitles onto the video (Hard subs - permanant subtitles on the video)
- Last is the quality checker, to make sure there are no errors from translation to editing to timing to typesetting and even encoding. To summarize, it's to make sure the final product is in good quality before being released
- Another side job would be the Uploader for direct download, onto youtube, clubbox(?), etc.

As you may have noticed the layout has changed! There are still bits and pieces of our iconic blue around, but the green is in for the spring. I hope that all you like the layout and will continue to enjoy Kim Hyun Joong International Forums. Thanks!
